It ain’t a fantasy: K-pop sweethearts TWICE will be back to get your hearts shaking on 17 June 2018 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium!

Following news that the nine-member girl group will be kicking off their second concert series TWICELAND Zone 2: Fantasy Park with a three-day concert in Seoul, our good friends at ONE Production just dropped the bomb that the girls will indeed be including a Singapore leg to the tour!

After a hugely successful albeit smaller-scale show at The Star Theatre last April, they are set to perform at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, previously graced by K-pop royalty Super Junior and EXO this year. Now, add TWICE to the hall of fame. Despite the bigger venue, we have no doubts that they’ll be able to fill the stadium in a matter of seconds so be sure to snag your tickets once the details are out – don’t even think twice about it.

Date: 17 June 2018
Time: 5pm
Venue: Singapore Indoor Stadium
Ticket prices: $288 (VIP – inclusive of 2 exclusive gifts and 1 lucky draw chance for a hi-touch session), $248, $208, $188, $168

Since their last music release back in July, fans have been eagerly waiting for fresh tunes from our homegrown pop darlings The Sam Willows. And it’s finally here in the form of not one, but two singles – ‘Robot’ and ‘Papa Money’ – much to the excitement of those who’ve been endlessly putting ‘Save Myself’ and ‘Keep Me Jealous’ on repeat. To celebrate their double music drops, we caught up with the spunky foursome for an interview and things got pretty wild (as usual).

Watch the Willows do their best robot impersonations, dish details about their upcoming album… and what’s this we hear about ‘Robot’ and ‘Papa Money’ being a “social experiment”? You’ve got some explaining to do, Ben!

‘Robot’ and ‘Papa Money’ are now available for purchase and streaming.

Want Them Back? 5 Seconds of Summer To Return For Concert In May!

23 Feb 2018 by Chew Hui Ling

It has been almost two years ago that the charming lads from 5 Seconds of Summer were here for their Sounds Live Feels Live concert, and boy do we miss these guys. We’re certain they know the SG5SOSFAM wants them back just as much, ’cause our favourite Aussie pop-rockers have just announced that they’ll be returning to Singapore this May!

Hitting the road for their 5SOS3 tour, the pop-punk outfit will be visiting a total of 26 venues on the run, starting in Stockholm and ending in Brazil. We’re not sure what country did we save in our past lives to deserve this, but Singapore will be the only stop in Asia! Awesome or what?

5SOS Live in Singapore 2018

5SOS Live in Singapore 2018
Date: 2 May 2018
Time: 8pm
Venue: Capitol Theatre
Ticketing details: $128 (free standing), $108 (free seating),

Tickets will go on sale on 2 March, 9am.

And as if the tour announcement wasn’t enough to get us all hyped up, they went ahead and dropped their latest single ‘Want You Back’ – and we can’t wait to hear this gem of a track live already. Just listen:

Having been hard at work preparing for their upcoming third studio album, they shared that “it was important we took time to reflect as individuals” and “now we’re coming back stronger and more unified than ever”. They added, “These songs mean the world to us and we have held nothing back in writing and recording this album. We can’t wait to get back out on tour to connect with our incredible fans.”

Well, neither can we!

Since last year, YG Entertainment has been dropping teasers about their upcoming sitcom-variety show – and now, it’s confirmed that the series will be officially launching this year exclusively on Netflix!

Titled YG Future Strategy Office, the new Netflix Original Series will feature several familiar faces of YG family including BIGBANG’s Seungri, Sechskies’ Lee Jae Jin and Yoo Byung Jae of SNL Korea fame, along with various guest appearances of your favourite K-pop acts such as Epik High, BLACKPINK, iKON and Winner.

YG Future Strategy Office

Starring Seungri as the head of The Future Strategy Office – aka the second home of YG’s troublemakers – the eight-episode series will follow the BIGBANG maknae and his team of misfits as they work to regain their place in the company. The best part about it being on Netflix? The show will be introduced in 190 countries around the world, which means international fans can easily get their dose of YG goodness without worrying about the lack of English subtitles.

No news about the exact broadcast date yet, but be sure to watch this space for more updates!

After a long six-year wait after their debut at Fort Canning Park, Foster The People (FTP) returned to our shores at [email protected] for their last stop on the Sacred Hearts Club tour. Fronted by larger-than-life Mark Foster, the six-piece gave the local audience a show that was filled with technicolour light effects, suave dance moves, smooth vocals and so much more.

Opening the show with the upbeat yet deeply sophisticated track ‘Pay The Man’, the tone of the night was set, paving the way for a kaleidoscopic stage set-up and psychedelic visuals that somehow still paled in comparison to Mark Foster’s dance moves. Cladded in a black short-sleeved botanical button-down – which he ditched for a white tank top halfway through the show – the 33-year-old frontman commanded the stage with ease, prancing around from left to right with his charismatic persona and contagious energy that one couldn’t help but get excited by.

The set then moved on to a steady stream of fan-favourites like ‘Helena Beat’, ‘Doing It For The Money’, ‘Don’t Stop (Color on the Walls’, ‘Sit Next To Me’ and ‘Call It What You Want’, all drawing generous applause and sing-a-longs from the crowd. But what stole the show was perhaps the moment when the band genre-hopped into a rousing cover of the Ramones’ ‘Blitzkrieg Pop’, proving that not only are they more than just their breakthrough hit ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ – but that they aren’t a band that could – or would – be pinned down by a single genre, no matter what the critics might say.

For FTP, their love for making music and doing what they do has always been less about the ability to put on a showy performance, but more about having a platform to shine a light on important issues going on around the world. Addressing the crowd right before the encore, the frontman launched into an impassioned speech on the importance of “building bridges, not walls”, and that how “no matter how you look like, no matter what religion you believe in, love should always be our mantra”.

Rounding up the set with an acknowledgment of the endless time and energy the crew put into each show, the boys then stayed behind to dole out fan service to the remaining fans. And judging by the crowd scurrying around the barrier in hopes of scoring a selfie with the members and to catch drumsticks and guitar picks that were randomly being thrown about, it’s safe to say that FTP still boasts a cult-like following here on our little red dot. We just hope it won’t be another six-year wait before we get to see the charismatic outfit back on stage again!
