Coffee addicts and cafe lovers rejoice! Singapore’s first ever coffee event is happening this weekend! A celebration of the specialty coffee and local cafe scene, the Singapore Coffee Festival brings together coffee players and cafes in Singapore for a weekend of coffee, food and entertainment. Here are a few things you should look out for this weekend!
Coffee DUH!
From brands we see everyday like Killiney to well known hipster cafes like Chye Seng Huat Hardware and the smaller (but no less tastier) spots like Smitten Specialty Coffee & Tea, ready your palette for lots of delectable coffee!
Tasty Food
How about a slice of The Blue Velvet from Bucktile St. or piping hot churros from from The Coffee Daily to go with that cuppa coffee? It wouldn’t be a true (Singaporean) festival without a whole load of delicious and tasty Instagrammable goodies!
Movies & Music
Simmer down after a day of pigging out with a line-up of cult movie favourites from our very own Singaporean directors like Singapore Dreaming and Eating Air. Or chill out to local music acts like Charlie Lim, Pleasantry and Inch Chua.
Make Your Own Coffee
For the hardcore coffee lovers who want to learn how to make your own coffee, join workshops like Fundamental Barista Skills by e2i Workshop and you can acquire a skill in espresso-preparation techniques, milk steaming and pouring, as well as the cleaning, maintenance of your espresso machine and grinder and so on.
