Rising to ulzzang fame and cementing her empire with a slew of highly addictive (and informative) beauty tutorials and endorsements, Pony (Park Hye Min) is unstoppable. This March, we document her global takeover, tutorial style.

Spring is officially here! Get the latest in Spring/Summer 2017 fashion and beauty trends, nifty tricks to refresh your life and space and the best dramas to binge-watch. And, we share empowerment tips in honour of International Women’s Day, plus share the stories of two millennials in pursuit of their dreams

Also inside, Zara Larsson, The Temper Trap, Eric Chou, One Ok Rock, The XX, NCT 127, FTISLAND and more!

I Light Marina Bay 2017 aka Singapore’s leading sustainable light festival is officially starting today. Over a span of 3 weeks (from 3 to 26 March), you will be able to not only admire (and take photos of/with) stunning art installations, there’s a plethora of food vendors, performances, and even an inflatable playground to check out. With it shaping up to be an extremely exciting affair, make the most of your visit with these handy tips.

#1 Download ‘Blippar’

i Light Marina Bay is going paperless this year, by partnering up with Blippar, an image recognition and augmented reality app that gives users info on physical objects when scanned (or ‘blipped’). Free for download on the Apples iTune App Store or Google Play Store, visitors will be able to navigate their way through the festival trail via a digital map within the app, as well as find out art installation info and on-going F&B promos. Plus, avid selfie-takers will enjoy Blippar’s custom selfie frames – happy snapping!

#2 Keep Your Ears Peeled

Merlion

With 20 art installations scattered around the Marina Bay area, there’s sure to be many Insta-worthy photo opportunities. But not all of ’em are just for your viewing pleasure; there are a couple of interactive displays. For example, ‘Social Sparkles’ by Toer (Netherlands) along Mist Walk lights up with movement to show hundreds of dazzling ‘fireflies’, while ‘The Body Of The Sea’ by Danny Rose Collective (France) along Merlion Park shows our beloved icon decked in a flow of colours, images and sound. Keep your eyes (and ears) peeled!

#3 Art-Zoo

What do a gigantic whale and a spider have in common? Being a part of our eco-system aside, these creatures are also giant inflatables in the Art-Zoo! Situated at The Float @ Marina Bay, Art-Zoo is “a culmination of experiential inflatable playgrounds and art installations in the setting of a zoological garden”. Apart from providing a wonderfully immersive experience that combines nature and art, this festival hub proves that you’re never too old to bounce around.

Open from 5pm to 11pm on Mondays to Fridays, and 2pm to 11 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Online tickets from $13/pax, onsite door tickets from $15/pax.

#4 Eat, Play and Repeat

Drop by Gastrobeats, a lifestyle park for the millennials, and take your pick from the wide array of artisanal food, music performances and fringe activities to be enjoyed. Think gastronomic delights courtesy of Skewer Bar, Poke Theory and Starker, and acts from the likes of THELIONCITYBOY, Disco Hue and more. Fringe activities include Uncle Ringo’s carnival, the Marina Waterfront Bazaar, Silent Disco series, etc. Each has their own schedule time slot over the three weeks, so do check out i Light Marina Bay’s website for more info.

#5 Check out other on-going activities

As if the above activities aren’t enough, i Light Marina Bay takes it a notch higher with several workshops, campaigns and ticketed events! Highlights include HypeFest @ i Light Marina Bay where visitors can get their hands on eco-friendly gifts and snacks from over 50 labels; A Maritime Journey In The Fullerton Heritage, where you relive the stories of the forefathers of Singapore through a walking tour; and the Recharge with PacificLight event, where you can bring a picnic and watch films under the stars, while charging your phone for free at the PacificLight charging stations. Other events include various yoga workshops, the Students Care Service Challenge for Children 2017, and Social-Light – i Light Symposium, where you can learn all about how light plays a vital role in community building and place-making.

Click on the relevant links for more info.

With that being said, i Lights Marina Bay will definitely be a huge hit for locals and tourists alike. Besides bringing along your portable charger, be sure to dress in comfy attire and footwear ’cause you’ll definitely be doing loads of walking. Have fun!

We’d love to check out your i Light Marina Bay 2017 photos, so tag us on Instagram at #TeenageMagazine or (@TeenageMagazine)!

#3 Bethia Wee

Totally embodying #Fitspo (no pun intended), Bethia has totally transformed since her stint in TGY! 2014. From Latin dancer/wushu extraordinaire to social media influencer to competitive bodybuilder and now heading the business development department at a start-up, Bethia’s definitely been keeping her eyes on the prize.

#4 Cherylene Chan

One of our youngest TGY! contestants ever, we first met Cherylene at TGY! 2014 and boy did she leave an impression. And her social media following is very impressive considering she’s only 18 years old. Currently a full-time student, you can find her on her various socials (Instagram, AskFm, and YouTube, etc.).

#5 Vanessa Tay

Off the TGY! 2014 runway and on to countless others, Vanessa is an active TVB artiste and holds the title of Miss Singapore Chinese International 2015. Currently juggling between her school and work commitments, the budding star plans to relocate to Hongkong to further her career!

A post shared by 👑 King Kayvan (@keefekayvan) on

Currently pursuing his degree, Keefe’s bubbly personality shines through on his social media feeds. Catch him on YouTube for refreshing beauty and lifestyle content – the local scene honestly needs more male beauty influencers, so we’re glad Keefe’s doing his thang!

#7 Cornelius Koh

A post shared by Cornelius Koh ☠ (@mr_yandao) on

If you were into Maplestory back in the day, you might have heard of Cornelius: he was somewhat a legend amongst MSEA players for being the first player to hit the max of level 200. There are even several forum threads dedicated to the mysterious Mr_Yandao! Despite hanging up his keyboard quite a few years back, Cornelius still maintains a sizable following on Instagram, where he posts everything from selfies, to shots with Mediacorp’s finest, and more.
