Mostly referred to as Singapore’s version of Ed Sheeran back when he first entered the scene, it’s safe to say that Joel Tan aka Gentle Bones has carved a niche for himself and has definitely grown to become one of our favourite local artistes. We were pretty disappointed last year when Joel had to cancel his sold-out show after getting stuck in Indonesia for awhile thanks to performance permit issues, but the great news is, he’s finally staging his debut concert at the Esplanade on 10 and 11 June! This time round, his show – which was initially a one-day-only gig – had such a high demand that tickets were sold out within days (again), and the organisers had to add another night to the show. Electronic duo .gif will be opening for his first night and uprising singer-songwriter Linying on the second night. Do expect to see some familiar faces amongst the crowd too! *coughnarellecough*
