Why You Should Catch Gentle Bones Live In Concert

13 May 2016 by Venetia Sng

Mostly referred to as Singapore’s version of Ed Sheeran back when he first entered the scene, it’s safe to say that Joel Tan aka Gentle Bones has carved a niche for himself and has definitely grown to become one of our favourite local artistes. We were pretty disappointed last year when Joel had to cancel his sold-out show after getting stuck in Indonesia for awhile thanks to performance permit issues, but the great news is, he’s finally staging his debut concert at the Esplanade on 10 and 11 June! This time round, his show – which was initially a one-day-only gig – had such a high demand that tickets were sold out within days (again), and the organisers had to add another night to the show. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, here are 3 reasons why you should catch Gentle Bones live in concert.

Other than looking forward to crowd favourites like ‘Until We Die’, ‘Save Me’ and ‘Sixty Five’, be prepared for a night eargasmic tunes from his forthcoming sophomore EP where you get to hear some of his new material before anyone else in the world.

#2 Awesome opening acts

Linying

Electronic duo .gif will be opening for his first night and uprising singer-songwriter Linying on the second night. Do expect to see some familiar faces amongst the crowd too! *coughnarellecough*

#3 Support local

Who says that our music scene is dead? They just haven’t heard Gentle Bones sing live.
