The SEA Games 2015 is officially starting tonight! We”ll be going all out to support #OneTeamSG! Aside from their athletic excellence, these sportsmen and sportswomen are pretty easy on the eye too.
Liane Wong – Fencing

Liane started dabbling with fencing due to her siblings’ influence and it soon became a passion. She has won 1st in the women’s team in the 2014 Southeast Asia Fencing Championships.
Adalia Jesse Colin – Wushu

Jesse took second place in the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympics. The athlete’s score of 9.40 in the spear category was the highest among the seven-strong field. How about a gold medal this year!
Joseph Schooling – Swimming

Where have you been hiding if you didn’t know who he is? Joseph Isaac Schooling is a national record holding Singaporean swimmer. He became the first Singaporean to win a swimming medal at the Commonwealth Games, taking silver in the 100m butterfly at the 2014 games in Glasgow.
Dawne Chua – Gymnastics

Though relatively unknown, this gymnast has got the moves and is representing our nation in the Rhythmic Gymnastics Group Category. We wish her all the best!
Samantha Annabelle Neubronner – Sailing

When you are out in the open sea, there are only the sailor, the boat and the sea. Scary but liberalising at the same time we think. We really admire Samantha for her bravery, she won first in the 2010 Optimist Oceania Championships.
Max Gerard Ducourneau – Rugby

Ever since his strong debut in the 2014 Asian Rugby Football Union (ARFU) Men’s 7s series in Hong Kong, this cutie will settle for nothing less than a SEA Games gold medal for the Singapore rugby team. We all have high expectations for the team too!
Sasha Christian – Wakeboard

Having began skiing at the age of 3 (what were we doing with our lives at 3), Sasha has won a gold medal at the 2011 SEA Games, and also winning a gold and bronze at the 2014 Asian Beach Games in Phuket. Go for more golds this year!
Irfan Fandi – Soccer

Irfan is the son of Singapore football legend Fandi Ahmad. Having been named in a list of the top 40 young talents in world football by The Guardian, we all believe that Irfan will continue his dad’s legacy!
Charmaine Soh – Netball

Charmaine became the new netball star after she helped the Singapore team win the 2014 Asian Netball Championship to qualify for the Netball World Cup. This sharp shooter’s skill will be depended upon to score the goals to drive the team to gold!
Calvin Kang – Sprinter
