We recommended The Jungle Book as the movie to watch last week and for this week, it’s prequel/sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman, The Huntsman: Winter’s War! 

Charlize Theron stars as evil Queen Ravenna, who betrays her good sister Freya (Emily Blunt) with an unforgivable act, freezing Freya’s heart to love and unleashing in her an icy power she never knew she possessed. Retreating to a kingdom far to the north, Freya raises an army of Huntsmen as protectors, with the only rule that no two of them should ever fall in love. As a war for domination escalates between the two queens, the hero standing between them is Freya’s most elite Huntsman, Eric (Chris Hemsworth). Alongside fellow warrior Sara (Jessica Chastain)—the only woman who’s ever captured his heart—Eric must help Freya vanquish her sister…or Ravenna’s wickedness will rule for eternity.

Here are 3 interesting facts about the movie!

#1 Jessica Chastain’s character Sara, is mentioned in Snow White and the Huntsman as being the Huntsman’s late wife and was later found out in the movie to have been killed by Ravenna’s brother. But we obviously know now that she didn’t die and we shall not spoil the movie by revealing how they got separated.

#2 Emily Blunt’s character Freya is named after a Norse goddess, which ironically is a goddess who is particularly sympathetic to lovers. 

#3 We bet you noticed this scene while watching the trailer above. The black goo flowing out of Ravenna’s mouth was Charlize Theron’s idea.

The Huntsman: Winter’s War will hit the screens on 14 April!
