SHINE Festival is back for its 11th year and you can expect exclusive youth-centric experiential zones with exclusive discounts and activities on Festival Street and Festival Village, which stretches across the Orchard belt from *SCAPE to ION Orchard. With more than 60 pop-up stalls, fringe activities and a mouth-watering list of food trucks on-site, you will be able to immerse fully in an all-encompassing festival experience! And did we mention Jay Park will be in town? Here are 5 things we’re looking forward to at SHINE Festival this weekend!

SHINE x *SCAPE Talent Development Programme (TDP) is a programme where youths have an opportunity to hone their skills and grow their talents. Mentored in areas such as Music, Dance, Urban Sports, Urban Arts, Pop Culture and Interactive Media by local acts like ShiGGA Shay, Charlie Lim, Recognize! Studios, Tree Potatoes, Ministry of Funny and so on. Head on down and support them as the mentees show off what they’ve learnt at the showcases happening this weekend! ShiGGA Shay and Charlie Lim will be performing too.
#2 Food Truck Nation
Date: 2 July
Time: 6:30pm – 10:00pm
Where: Along Orchard Road (Wisma)
The stretch of Orchard Road from ION Orchard to Ngee Ann City will be closed and transformed into an all out festival with activities like a Parade of Bands, skateboarding and parkour showcases. But the one thing we look forward to the most is the FOOD! With vendors such as Coffee Bandits, Momolato, Makisan, The Travelling Cow, Fairyfloss and so much more, you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice.
#3 Outdoor Screening
Date: 2 July
Time: 8:00pm – 9:30pm
Where: Along Orchard Road (Ngee Ann City)
If you didn’t know, 7 Letters is a 2015 Singaporean drama film directed by seven different directors and it comprises seven short stories celebrating SG50! If you missed out on catching the special screenings of the film at the Capitol Theatre last year, the film will be screened along Orchard Road.
#4 Art Market
Date: 2 & 3 July
Time: 12:00pm – 10:00pm
Where: The Pop Up (Cathay Orchard Cineleisure & *SCAPE Marketplace)
From illustrations to cold brews, handmade soaps and accessories, Art Market by The Local People is something you wouldn’t want to miss when you head down to SHINE Festival this weekend. Tip for the shopper, bring along an empty tote bag to store your shoppings! #SaveMotherEarth
#5 Jay Park
Date: 2 July
Time: 9:30pm
Where: The Stage (ION)
Last but not least, look forward to a spectacular line-up of both international and local crowd-pleasing acts, including international singer and rapper Jay Park who will be sharing the stage with Festival veteran, local rapper and songwriter ShiGGA Shay. Tabitha Nauser and Gentle Bones will be performing as well, so you can definitely expect an eargasmic time.
