With a star-spangled attendance of big-name personalities from the likes of China goddess Zhou Xun to Korean girl group SECRET, it’s safe to say that the 20th Asian Television Awards (ATA) concluded with a massive bang!
Held on 2nd and 3rd December at the state-at-the-art auditorium at Suntec City, the 3000-strong audience was treated to a smorgasbord of live performances from top-notch artistes in the region. Here’s a recap of what went down during the show.
Indonesian powerhouse Anggun Cipta made her debut appearance in Singapore with a goosebumps-inducing rendition of her 2005 hit ‘Saviour’, blowing us all away with her show-stopping vocals in the process. After all, the diva isn’t dubbed ‘Lady Rock’ for nothing!
We’re not surprised if Swedish trio JTR managed to convert half of the audience into full-time fangirls. Addictive pop tunes, gorgeous looks, deadly boy band charm – they’ve got it all.
It’s so good to see SECRET standing together on stage again! The quartet performed ‘Love is More’ and ‘I’m in Love’, much to the delight of fans who were not-so-secretly (lol) lurking in the crowd. Petition for a SECRET comeback!
