SHOP: TOPSHOP on ZALORA

Zalora x topshop

Those who love shopping online would be happy to know that TOPSHOP and TOPMAN have joined giant E-tailer, ZALORA. With ZALORA’s unmatched services (like pickup at various convenience stores around the island and easiest payment methods, just to name a few), shopping for stylish outfits from TOPSHOP just got way easier. No more squeezing with the crowd on Orchard Road!

TRY: Cutting paper fruits

If watching the above video doesn’t make you wanna make some paper fruits, we don’t know what will. Thankfully, you don’t have to be that artistically inclined to create these Insta-worthy paper fruits. Just download these templates from kikki.K, cut them up and stick them together. While you’re at it, check out kikki.K’s new Cute Sweet Collection for happy looking stationery that will make your day.

WATCH: The Man From U.N.C.L.E

Mr Superman, Henry Cavill, is back but not as the man of steel but as a secret agent. Set against the backdrop of the early 1960s, at the height of the Cold War, the film centres on two opposing agents, forced to put aside longstanding hostilities, team up to defeat a big bad meanie and save the world. There’s a girl involved somewhere in between of course. If you’re into the James Bond-type movies, and it doesn’t hurt that Arnie Hammer’s in it as well (more eye-candy yay!), go catch The Man From U.N.C.L.E this weekend!

GO TO: Sentosa FunFest 2015

Sentosa-FunFest-2015

Time to organise a class gathering and head down to Sentosa this September holidays cause Siloso beach will be transformed into a mega inflatable beach festival! From the 12-metres tall inflatable slides, bubbling foam pools, to areas where you can just chill-out, simply enjoy the sun and grab some grub. It will be a afternoon you’ll never forget.

For more details, check out their website here.

EAT: Chong Pang Nasi Lemak

Staying in the north and looking for a supper spot? In case you didn’t know, Chong Pang Nasi Lemak serves one of the best nasi lemaks in Singapore! From their crispy ikan bilis with peanuts to the oh-so-delectable fragrant chicken wings, you’d want to order more of them wings just so that you can have them the next day.

Chong Pang Nasi Lemak is located at 447 Sembawang Rd, Singapore 758404

VISIT: Comex 2015 (3-6 September)Comex 2015 booth babesCredit: Comexshow.com.sg

Need a new laptop/camera/tablet/headphone/gaming console etc.? I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to find what you need (and things you want but don’t really need) at Comex 2015. As usual, the four-day fair features all things tech-related at relatively affordable prices, but this year’s tech fair has leveled up. You’ll be able to catch a fashion show, enter a booth babe selfie contest, check out their tech showcase corner, and even trade in your used/faulty gadgets for cash vouchers… Basically do stuff that’ll send your inner tech geek into overdrive (geddit?).

Comex 2015 is happening from 11 am – 9 pm on 3 to 6 September 2015, at Suntec Singapore, levels 3, 4 and 6. For more information, check out their website here.

ATTEND: JJ Lin Timeline: Genesis World Tour (5 September)JJ Lin Timeline Genesis World TourCredit: UnUsUaL Entertainment

Homegrown singer JJ Lin is finally coming back to where he belongs (pun unintended), with his Genesis World Tour. I can’t wait to hear hits like ‘Mummy’ and ‘Someday’, because it’ll definitely be a nostalgic trip down memory lane. And JJ will definitely bring his A-game as usual!

JJ’s concert will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 5 September from 8pm onward. Tickets from $78, Sportshub.com.sg

DIY: Tri-colour Triangle Manicure

A video posted by Nails Tutorial (@nailsartvidss) on

This tutorial is pretty self-explanatory (as usual) but instead of purchasing the special nail strips, I’d recommend using clear scotch tape or plasters instead. It’s a little bit more work to cut ’em down to size, but you’d save money and be able to customise your own designs too.

VISIT: The Analog Vault

Those with a love for vinyl should definitely put this destination on your radar. Set up by the Vinylicious team, The Analog Vault located at Esplanade Mall is a cool new concept store for the music geeks and old souls at heart. Here, you can hunt down new, pre-loved and rare records with genres from classical to rock n roll to modern-day pop. There’s also plenty of hard-to-find book titles and independent magazines waiting for you to take home. Of course, all these come at a hefty price of anywhere between $25 to $800. It’s a serious hobby, guys.

WATCH: Limit

Limit Japanese Drama

It’s a pity this failed to get much recognition from the masses, because it definitely deserves as much spotlight as The Hunger Games and Battle Royale. A Japanese live-action drama adapted from the same-name manga series, Limit (starring Nanami Sakuraba, Tao Tsuchiya and Katsuhiro Suzuki) documents the physical and emotional torments of five students stranded in the woods – the only survivors in their class after their bus fell off a cliff. The premise might be similar, but you get well fleshed-out characters with their own storyline and a better idea of the  mental struggles of each individual. Eerily awesome.
