MAKE: Power Breakfast

I didn’t enjoy making my own breakfast (or even have breakfast) when I was younger cause it was hassle and I just didn’t feel the need to have it. But as someone who’s few years shy of hitting the big 30, I’ve realised the importance of breakfast. And nope, having breakfast food for lunch or dinner doesn’t count. Just a simple meal in the morning and it’ll help set the mood and energise you for the rest of the day (or until lunch time at least). So bring out the cook in you this weekend and try out these easy power breakfast recipes! Let us know how it went by tagging us on Instagram or Twitter!

RE-WATCH: Colorful

Colorful-Movie-2010

If you’re into Japanese animated feature films like me, you’d love this movie by Keiichi Hara. Based on the novel of the same name written by Eto Mori, Colorful is about a high schooler’s struggle in life as he comes up to graduation before entering college or university. It’s lighthearted yet very meaningful at the same time, plus doesn’t hurt that the animation is stunning.

WATCH: The Jungle Book

The old-school animated classic The Jungle Book will finally be hitting the big screens in yet another highly-anticipated Disney remake, which tells the story of an orphan boy who is raised in the jungle with the help of some very mighty creatures. The film already boasts some of the biggest names in Hollywood: Bill Murray as Baloo the bear, Idris Elba as Shere Khan the tiger, Lupita Nyong’o as Raksha the wolf, Scarlett Johansson as Kaa the snake, amongst other A-listers. We can’t wait to catch the cast in action! If you aren’t convinced yet, here are 3 reasons why you should totally watch this movie this weekend!

SHOP: ShopBack

ShopBack

I’m always on the hunt for the best deals in town (because who doesn’t love discounts?), and it looks like I’ve found myself a new BFF. Enter ShopBack, the one-site shop to get all the latest promotions and voucher codes on top of already-slashed prices from over 300 renowned retailers, plus it allows you to earn cashback with each purchase (for real!). They’ve got pretty much every millennial-approved brand on-board, including ASOS, Groupon, Taobao, ZALORA, and Sephora – in other words, you can really, seriously, totally shop till you drop.

LISTEN: I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It – The 1975

It’s been three years since their last album, but The 1975 is finally back on our radar with I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It, an even more ambitious and audacious 17-track sophomore record that has an equally lengthy title to match. This album steers away from the band’s usual electro-pop sound, and introduces a melting pot of genres from glittery melodies like ‘The Sound’ to melancholic ballads like ‘Nana’.
